Dog House with Climate Control System
Wooden dog house design with thermostat-controlled air conditioning system. Features heating and cooling functions using Peltier module.
About the Project
This project consists of designing a wooden dog house equipped with an automatic climate control system. The goal was to create a comfortable space for the animal, regardless of external weather conditions.
Design Features
Structure
- Wooden construction (wood type pending selection)
- Removable access door for easy cleaning and maintenance
- Design suitable for animal size
Climate Control System
- Automatic temperature control via thermostat
- Heating and cooling functions
- Smart regulation based on ambient temperature
Main Components
1. Peltier Module
Thermoelectric element responsible for heating and cooling. Includes:
- Peltier plate
- Heat sinks
- Fans for air circulation

2. STC-1000-12V Thermostat
Temperature controller that:
- Monitors temperature in real-time
- Activates heating or cooling as needed
- Maintains stable and comfortable temperature

3. 12V DC Power Supply
Power system for all electronic components.

Important Note
Peltier System Limitations:
During development, I identified that the Peltier plate-based module has significant limitations:
- Insufficient capacity for heating/cooling larger spaces
- High energy consumption relative to thermal power generated
- More suitable for smaller-scale projects or as proof of concept
This discovery is important for anyone considering implementing a similar system. For practical applications in larger structures, conventional climate control systems may be more efficient.
