Cooking Instructions

1. Toast the almonds

In a dry pan, toast the sliced almonds over medium heat until golden brown. Set aside.

2. Brown the chicken

Season the chicken with salt and pepper. In a large pot, heat the olive oil and butter, and brown the chicken strips. Set aside.

3. Prepare the sauté

In the same pot, sauté the onion until translucent. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

4. Add spices and rice

Add the saffron and cinnamon, stirring for 30 seconds. Add the rice and coat well.

5. Cook the rice

Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and cook for 15 minutes.

6. Add chicken and cream

Return the chicken to the pot, add the cream and half of the toasted almonds. Stir gently, cover, and cook for another 5 minutes.

7. Finish

Turn off the heat and let rest covered for 5 minutes. Serve garnished with the remaining toasted almonds and fresh herbs.
