A delicious and economical way to transform leftover spaghetti into a completely new meal. This gratin cake is perfect for quick dinners or to take in lunch boxes.
Cooking Instructions
1. Prepare the pan
Grease a round or rectangular pan (approximately 24 cm) with butter and sprinkle with a little grated cheese.
2. Prepare the egg mixture
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the milk, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
3. Mix the spaghetti
Add the cooked spaghetti to the egg mixture. Add half of the grated cheese and mix well.
4. Assemble the first layer
Place half of the spaghetti mixture in the prepared pan.
5. Add filling
Distribute the ham slices over the spaghetti and cover with part of the remaining cheese.
6. Cover
Add the rest of the spaghetti mixture on top, pressing lightly.
7. Gratin
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, remaining grated cheese, and oregano. Distribute small pieces of butter on top.
8. Bake
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes until golden and the center is firm.
9. Finish
Let rest for 5 minutes before cutting. Garnish with fresh parsley.
